Outdoor Skills for Leaders

Girlguiding East Yorkshire county are holding an Outdoor Skills for Leaders event on the 11th and 12th May.  Leaders can attend for one or both days with the opportunity to sleep over if they wish.  There will be opportunities to learn or brush up on skills from basic fire-lighting to backwards cooking, gadgets to pioneering, trails and tracking, to wide games, and much more.

Outdoor Skills for Leaders

50th Roaring Day Out!

Saturday 18th May 2024.  A day at Yorkshire Wildlife Park for all sections.  £18 per person, including badge, not including travel.  Bookings have now closed.  All Units attending have been emailed some additional Information including a Risk Assessment and Consent Form.  Email admin@girlguidingnyne.org.uk if you haven’t received this information.

County Review and Training Day

Join us for lunch, the county review, presentation of awards, county commissioner handover and speaker, with optional training sessions in the morning.

  • Saturday 22nd June 2024
  • 9:30-16:00 (registration and coffee from 9.15)
  • Mowbray School, Masham Road, Bedale, DL8 2SD
  • £7.50 for the whole day, £5 for lunch and county review only

The day will begin with some fun activity ideas, not directly programme related, hopefully around the topics of STEM, the outdoors and the arts.  This will be followed by lunch before the county review with presentation of awards and the county commissioner handover and a talk by Melodie Pattison on her World Scout Jamboree experience.

During the morning there will be the option to complete part of the First Response training, the remainder of the training will need to be completed on zoom, dates to be confirmed.  Please are limited on this training and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Ready Steady Adventure 2024
