Training and Events

This page has details of face to face training that we offer for our volunteers, for example A Safe Space (Safeguarding), First Response (First Aid) and Leadership Qualification sessions as well as training for Going Away With qualifications.

Please note that these trainings are intended for members of girlguiding only unless otherwise stated

1st Response Renewal:

Monday September 21st, 7 – 9 pm
Friday September 25th, 7 – 9 pm
Monday September 28th, 7 – 9 pm

A two hour session using Zoom for those whose qualification has already expired.

There is still a small practical element which takes about 15 minutes. Opportunities to do this will be offered across the county and you will get further information once you have competed the virtual session.

Priority will be given to those whose 1st response would have expired from March onwards without the automatic extension until September 30th, with more sessions due to be offered to meet the needs of those whose qualifications expire this autumn.

Going Away With Training:

Saturday 10th October 1-4pm via Zoom

Get ready for leading your own residential by exploring
• the planning of a successful residential event
• the administration of a residential event
• the management of safety and security while on a residential
• the health and first aid arrangements needed for a residential event
