This page has details of face to face training that we offer for our volunteers, for example A Safe Space (Safeguarding), First Response (First Aid) and Leadership Qualification sessions as well as training for Going Away With qualifications.

County Leaders Day
October 2nd, 10am – 4pm
ONLINE – on zoom in the comfort of your own home
FREE to attend
Morning Sessions – for each section
The session will focus on best practice, sharing ideas, exploring promise celebrations, discussions with the girls following Skills Builder / UMA, transitions between sections. There will be plenty of opportunities to ‘air and share’ your experiences.
Afternoon Sessions – choose from the following.
How to prepare and update Risk Assessments

Mental Health – broaden your knowledge of mental health issues affecting your members and how best to support those in your unit
Mentoring – for new and experienced mentors, how to make the most of the role
Safe Space Level 3 – recognising, telling and taking action
Accounts and Gift Aid how to use the Girlguiding Accounts package and create end of year accounts.
Young Leaders A chance for Young Leaders to meet together, discuss you role, the YL qualification and how this fits with the LQ

If you already hold a valid 1st aid qualification from another association or your work please check with your commissioner whether it will be accepted before you sign.
